We work exclusively on the basis of the German Freight Forwarders 2017 (ADSp 2017).
These limit in paragraph 23 the legal liability for damage to goods under § 431 HGB amounting to 8.33 SDR / kg per claim or per event to 1 million respectively 2 million euros, or 2 SDR / kg, whichever amount is higher, and for multimodal transports, including sea transport generally to 2 SDR / kg.
The inclusion of the coverage for “value declaration” according to the article 24 CMR may also be insured. From 01.01.2017 the insurance of the “special value” according to the article 24 CMR may be co-insured up to 40 SDR per kg. The insurance coverage for damage and loss is limited to 40 SDR per kg.
We therefore recommend the conclusion of the transport insurance for each transportation. Due to the high volume of sendings we dispatch, we can gladly provide you with very cheap and proven transport insurance policies through our freight forwarders liability insurance.
